fetishization of passivity — a workshop

Corpse Play

The fetishization of passivity takes many shapes.

When nothing is required of us,
and there is nothing we can do.

No performance — nothing to achieve — zero fucks to give.

It doesn’t really work with enthusiastic consent.

Enthusiastically being passive.

How much enthusiasm is required to play with someone —

or should I say: something?

Being a pleasure dom or reaction junkie doesn’t really cut it.

Oh no — you need your own perverted desire.

But what could be more pleasurable
than to be deeply desired?

As a possession.

As an obsession.

As a fetishization.

This workshop explores consent as an embodied response —

one that might be forgotten or destroyed

by trauma, by abuse, or simply never learned.

So welcome to practice.

And then, maybe, for a while —

someone’s beloved corpse.

Practicalities

The workshop takes place in three acts:

Functional

Beloved

Sacrificed

Each act explores one aspect of passivity using a handful of exercises,

followed by a longer play scene with its own live soundtrack by Tuberose.

You can attend alone and maybe find others to interact with,

or participate with one or more others in your own bubble.

I never help or force anyone into any interactions.

You are welcome to spend the entire evening just witnessing.

If you have never attended an event by Andy Buru before,
