Rationale: Try out the basic techniques on yourself.

Step 1. Put your ropes in a mess on the floor, with the half-knot to find the middle

Step 2. Find and attach the rope to one foot

Step 3. Explore how you can wrap your legs and move up your body

Step 4. Extend a rope and keep wrapping

Step 5. See if you can figure out how to finish the rope so it doesn’t unravel


Lesson 7: Feel your rope

Exercis: Feel your rope

Rationale: Get familiar with the material.

Estimated time: 10 minutes

Step 1. Feel the rope on your body, try it both lightly and roughly

Step 2. Smell the rope

Step 3. Listen to the sound it makes

Step 4. But it over your eyes, while you rest on your back for a few minutes
